For his second one-man show, Tony Alcasid interprets on canvas 15 original compositions of his popular, talented and multi-awarded songwriter-singer brother, Ogie Alcasid. Canvases layered with highly textured backgrounds sought to capture in a somewhat abstract fashion through washes of colors and images the emotions, ideas, feelings, stories and lessons expressed in each song. Some of the works are also assemblages of found objects and others are collages with cutouts from other print media to add nuance and/or visual impact/interest.
