BARCINO’S 4TH
February 5th, in Circuit Training by Apryl GalangWhat started out as a university project in Spain is now a full-blown wine and tapas bar in Greenbelt 2 Makati. Sergi Rostoll and Dani Aliaga (friends from college) with newest addition -fresh from Barcelona Oriol Singla, officially welcomed the birth of the fourth and biggest branch of Barcino Wine and Tapas Bar by hosting a two-night celebration.
The series kicked off with a night of degustation with the press, foodies, and special friends. A long banquet table nicely decorated with dark red roses and black candelabras seated all forty carefully selected guests who were treated with newly imported wines and seven new tapas prepared by Barcino’s very own young, talented, and vibrant culinary team.
The grand party followed the night after. The entire venue was flocked by over 500 guests who feasted on free-flowing modern Spanish tapas and wines all night. The festive mood was notched up by the implausible music of Tribo Manila and DJ Kristian Hernandez who kept the crowd grooving until almost dawn.
Barcino has definitely made a remarkable success since its establishment in 2006. Its Greenbelt 2 branch followed sister branches in Julia Vargas Avenue, Fort Global City, and Greenbelt 5 respectively. With over 100 imported wines, Barcino is the only place where you can wine and dine unpretentiously with the best value for your money. Bigger and better things are yet to be expected from Barcino as word has it that a new Spanish chef will be brought straight from Barcelona to head its already thriving culinary team. Who said Spanish invasion is over? Barcino did not just conquer Manila’s food and wine industry but it has truly conquered also Manila’s heart and palate.
Barcino Greenbelt 2 is located at the Ground Level of Ayala Center Makati City. You can also check out its website: www.barcino.com.ph, or you may contact 5013250 / email barcino@barcino.com.ph.
