The UP Junior Marketing Association proudly presents Panoramanila, a mobile photography campaign and competition geared towards a greater appreciation of Manila and an extensive promotion of local tourism.
The campaign kicked off with Panoramanila: The Launch in UP Diliman last July 30 to August 2. In the advent of smartphones and mobile photography, the weeklong gallery meant to inform students about how to get the most out of their smartphone experience and to answer the question, “What’s your Manila?”
Panoramanila: The Walking Tour was a first in JMA history as they toured the walled city of Intramuros last August 17. Families and students from different universities participated despite the weather, and proved that local tourism is always something to be proud of.

The UP Economics Society brings you the most awaited high school chorale competition of the year, Musikapella 2013:Himig ng Bagong Henerasyon. Dance to the chorale renditions of classic Original Filipino rock songs and watch as 14 different high schools all over the Metro battle it out for the crown on September 28, 2013 at the Aliw Theatre.
With the contest pieces “Hinahanap-hanap Kita” by Rivermaya, “Limang Dipang Tao” by Ryan Cayabyab, and “Alapaap” by Eraserheads, Musikapella 2013 aims to promote the Philippines’ rich musical culture through upbeat renditions of local rock music favorites by talented high school chorale groups.
Participating schools are St. Scholastica’s College Manila, School of the Holy Spirit, PAREF Woodrose, Miriam College, Colegio de Sta. Rosa – Makati, St. Paul College – Pasig, St. Pedro Poveda College, Marist High School, PAREF Southridge School for Boys, Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati, Diliman Preparatory School, CP Garcia High School, School of Saint Anthony and Manila Science High School.
