Trio at Music and Wine

Let the smooth grooves of New York City jazz band Trio carry you into a night of sophisticated company and delicious drinks.
Trio consists of three prolific musicians: Greg Murphy on piano who represents the great jazz traditions of New Orleans, Chicago and New York, and has created for himself a solid place in world jazz lineage. Ariel de la Portilla on bass, who is not just a bassist but a composer as well, born in Cuba, and raised on the red hot streets of Miami. His speciality is sensual Latin jazz including Brazilian and Cuban music, funk and R&B. Ignacio Moran on drums, a master of the skins who hails from South America, and will be providing the heart beat to Saturday’s body of performance.
Three amazing artists jamming on stage for an evening of incredible musical stylings. And it doesn’t end there! Elian will be getting on the decks right after as we party on deep into the night!

Planet Zips’ February Mini-SpinD

After the success of Planet Zip’s first mini-SpinD of 2010 last month, there’s gonna be a follow up that will be held at the QC Circle Memorial Park, this coming Saturday, February 27!
For those who don’t know, PZ’s Mini-SpinD (short for SpinDependence) is a monthly open-poi community gathering aimed at providing PZ POI Academy students and customers of PZ POI Products a chance to showcase their skills - to each other, and their friends and family.
Open to all interested newbies and other Poi spinners in Manila to come and join the fun! Eventually, we’d like Mini-SpinD to become the main gathering for all poi enthusiasts in the city. So don’t be shy, come by, make new friends and perhaps even learn a new trick or two!
As usual, there will be lots and lots of great Poi performances, ranging from tailed, glow and fire. There will be lighting up just before dusk for their very own sunset session!
On the decks handling the music will be their very own resident ’spinner’ DJ Omar.
