An Affair to Remember
With a throbbing head and hazy memory, you woke up last February 24. You try to crawl out of bed gracefully, but fall instead. On all fours, you scramble around your room until you find the golden mine in your drunken haze — the bathroom. You wet your face with water, and a little bit of memory comes back. You do it over and over again, in the hopes that each splash of water will bring with it a new wave of memory. Somehow, all it brings is one faint echo repeating itself continuously: ADHOC. ADHOC. ADHOC.
Somehow, that faint, persistent echo was all you needed. Your mind might have forgotten, but your body definitely remembers. The feeling of squished toes from a night of endless dancing, of temporary blindness from the psychedelic lights’ incessant flashing, of non-sobriety from drinking copious volumes of alcohol — everything comes crashing back. All the pieces of the puzzle reveal themselves, and it doesn’t take long for you to put them together.

There’s a buzz roaming around the city that there’s a hidden watering hole dubbed Conyoteria and it is said to be located inside the spacious creative hub. Mind you, it’s not the usual dancing hub where partygoers head off but word of mouth goes around that this place is fast becoming a hip pit stop for those who want to seclude themselves from the usual party crowd and just enjoy the vibe. So with this thought in mind and Google search in tow, I found myself walking in one alleyway of the extension road located at the city’s main business district looking for that mysterious place.
Now, to end the thrill and excitement, I finally found the place! Brew Conyoteria is how it is fondly called. It might sound like a coffee place but really its not. The Hennessy Artistry Club Series was a rousing success as it brought to life the essence of the Global Art pop influence of Monique Delos Santos as Stefan Loewenstein paced the beat at the Opus Lounge. September, likewise, saw the sizzling hot renditions of Maffy Soler and Amber Davis to the current hits as Mr. Marcus hit the skins to fuse with the electronic maneuverings of DJ Joey Santos at the new club Eden Night Club and Garden Lounge. Elsewhere in the Metro, the beats was added more international flavor as the new set of performances by SINYMA, Ira Cruz, Kat Alano and Artstrong is joined in by DJ Minx from Australia.
