Of Grandeur and Dance Club
March 6th, in Features by Apryl Galang
It is said in the olden mythology that palladium used to project an image of antiquity to provide safeguard. Nowadays, the name is redefined as a “polished venue” for partyphiles who have a flair for dancing and world-class clubbing. Look no further now because you’ll be amazed with this newcomer in the nightlife circuit. Enter the barely-month-old dance hub dubbed as the new age Palladium, all set to be at par with the parties around the world.
The Buzz. If you’re looking for a supersized clubbing experience then you won’t be disappointed. Palladium is a two-storey basement club. The first level is the exclusive VIP Vogue Lounge where you can chill in a comfy spot while listening to hip house beats while the lower floor space is dedicated to dance fanatics with honest-to-goodness spacious dance area where you can freely groove.
The Design. The space speaks of multi-cultural and multi–era inspirations highlighting the Italian-designed fixtures through the brass embedded walls, classy interiors and furniture even to the posh spiral staircase. In terms of lighting, Palladium reassures its guests that you won’t find the state of the art lights and lasers anywhere in the metro. Lastly, get ready to be awed with the specially selected audio systems enough to carry out full blast concert–level decibel levels.
The Vibe. Palladium aims to attract the more discerning market in terms of music preference. With that, the owners are very particular about the sound program all set to provide what their guests crave for. One thing’s for sure; the club will be introducing fresh beats from Europe in terms of house and trance music. Likewise, the place also has hip-hop, r n’ b and mash up DJs on the side to keep the younger crowd coming in.
The Drinks. Take note, you won’t break your bank account with their variety of drink lists. Beer prices start at P100 while cocktails are from P180 to 200 price points. Likewise, their table / bottle service isn’t that ridiculously priced unlike other posh clubs.
Why you’ll be back. Expect big name foreign DJs frequently flying in to exclusively spin for a one-night gig at Palladium. They’ve just recently kicked off their first bash with internationally renowned People from Ibiza hosting the event with Ibiza’s Robot Man, DJ Oliver Schmitz spinning the night away. Next in line is a hot playmate who catches every dance denizens delight. No doubt, clubbers will come to get a fun night out but go home with an experience to keep them coming back for more.
Palladium is located at New World Makati Hotel. Call 576-8464 for table reservations and inquiries.
