For his design inspiration for General, Robert shares, “I love the concept of the store – it is meant for older men like me. I am hoping the merchandise will also be for a person like me – I like classics instead of trendy stuff. I …
The Must-Try Cocktails at Aria Cucina Italiana
Aria Cucina Italiana, a favorite destination for lovers of Italian cuisine, recently launched their new cocktail menu at Bonifacio High Street Central, BGC.
The Aria Special House Cocktails by Barmansmix were specially crafted by expert mixologist Tim Walters, who’s made a name for himself in Los Angeles and Manila with his uniquely tantalizing concoctions.
Bianca Elizalde hosted the intimate launch, welcoming guests to the affair and introducing Walters. The seasoned bartender crafted a serving of each of the five cocktails being sampled for the evening, demonstrating how each one is built while sharing a little about the drinks’ conceptions. Elizalde then opened the floor to the night’s main event, a tasting of the cocktails paired with some of Aria’s top dishes.
The meal opened with the Strawbasiltini, a clever mix of Skyy vodka, strawberry, basil and balsamic vinegar reduction, and a splash of balsamic vinegar for balance. The cocktail’s full-bodied flavor was complemented by a serving of Caprese – thick layers of buffalo mozzarella and tomato slices seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and oregano.…

Kasbah Kicks off Sunset Sundays
If there was ever such as thing as being properly ready for a Monday, Sunset Sundays at Kasbah might be the reason for it.
Recently, Kasbah the Fort kicked off Sunset Sundays, a rejuvenating, laid-back version of a weekday night out, an ode to its Boracay roots and a fitting finale to a weekend. It featured an exquisite Moroccan buffet crafted (with sumptuous dishes to be changed weekly), personally supervised by owner Madonna English and Chef Zeki Fazlioglu, a souk-style bazaar, and cool, steady beats from DJs Abdel Aziz and Mark Zero a.k.a. El Ministro.
The highlight of the night was definitely Kasbah’s carefully thought-out Mediterranean buffet where guests feasted on: Mezzes, with 7 Layer Mediterranean Dip, Mussels harissa and crunchy Falafel; the signature dish of the night, Koshari, a Mediterranean version of paella, made with lentils and rice, topped off with spicy tomato sauce; Beetroot and Potato Salad with mint and spring onion; Sumac; Za’atar & Lemon Chicken; Roast Pork Belly with Apple Horseradish Relish; and a to-die-for Moussaka.
The buffet also included a …
