Female centric brand, ForMe, unveiled its newly redesigned collections during the recent Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2011 Collections held in Hall 5, SMX, Mall of Asia, before an audience packed with media, celebrities, VIPs and invited guests.

ForMe was the second of five unique brands from parent company Golden ABC to present at Philippine Fashion Week (PFW) Holiday 2011; the others being: Memo, Regatta, Oxygen & Penshoppe.

When asked what prompted ForMe to join this season’s PFW, Ms. Arlyn Guanlao, ForMe’s Brand Manager replied, “We joined to celebrate the 25th year anniversary of Golden ABC and to showcase the 2011 Holiday collection as the brand transitions itself into the premiere women’s fashion line in the Philippines.”

The show started with a bang when celebrity endorser, Charlene Gonzales, opened the show to walk the customized pink runway in a stylish new one-piece jumpsuit.

Better known for its laidback pieces, guests in attendance were all pleasantly surprised with ForMe’s new and improved selections and styles. “The new pieces use softer and more fluid fabrics that helps highlight the assets and conceals the flaw,” says Ms. Guanlao.

Appropriately entitled “Charmed Life,” the brand’s three newest collections, designed with the intentions to “Celebrate Women,” are more stylish and versatile, perfect for any occasion in a woman’s life.

“We’re all about celebrating women,” Ms. Guanlao proclaims. She goes on to say, “The main difference compared to before is the clothing now expands into three main subcategories giving the modern woman a wider selection of trendy yet timeless pieces she can mix and match for work or at home or even out at night.”

And despite the new improvements, each piece still taking into account the four main body shapes (hourglass, inverted triangle, rectangle and triangle) ForMe is renowned for.

Easy Dressing

The collection, “Easy Dressing” allows women the privilege to afford dressing up while fulfilling duties. It is comprised of dresses and separates made of jersey for sophisticated comfort, cotton, and soft gabardine, with color palettes of brown, taupe, and teal blue, colors that pop without stress. Dresses of voluminous sleeves and interesting cuts and patterns are rampant in this collection, all of which are appropriate for activities in both the day and at night. Jumpsuits, dresses with ruffled details, mini dresses made of jersey that cling to the body and accentuates the curves, and cover-ups that are versatile enough to pair with anything, be it amping up the most casual of wears to accentuating the most sophisticated of frocks are what’s expected in this newly released collection of ForMe.

The clothes in this collection are apt for women working in different fields. It encompasses women in the corporate world, those in the rather artsy crowd, even those whose goal is just simply to wow and garner respect. The look is driven but never stern.
