7 DJs, 1 Night, 1 Island. We partied from sunset ’til sunrise!

The ultimate DJ festival on the festive island of Boracay, brought to you by emerging party organizer RP Events Team, was a mecca of hot beats, cool percussions and everything in between. The Boracay DJ Fest was a treat for audio- and partyphiles who witnessed seven of the country’s most sought after DJs on the cans, giving them a diverse range of dance and chillout sounds. It was sensory overload like no other.

The premier beach party destination in the country was made more exciting, thanks to the unprecedented combined forces of of Nix Damn P, Alex Wong, Mark Nicosia, DJ Marlon, B_Cal, Ace Ramos and Funk Avy with MC Phat Jorj on the mic.

The place to be was Club Paraw on Station 1 last Saturday, April 30. The party started at 5PM with sunset sessions, amplifying the famous Boracay sunset with tropical, tribal and sensual tones. The beats became heavier, more pronounced and more entrancing as the sky turned from vanilla to pitch black. By then, the place was starting to get packed and even a drizzle didn’t do anything to dampen anyone’s spirit. In fact, it only intensified the atmosphere as people let their hair down and stopped caring whether they were wet or not.

Hours and lots of cocktail glasses later, it was sunrise and the party was still in full swing. The energy never subsided until wee hours in the morning. The rain has come and gone; the DJs have alternated; but the most hardcore partygoers were still hungry for more.

“I can’t believe that people actually stayed till sunrise. We are so grateful to everyone who came and partied with us and the seven DJs. It’s really overwhelming and a fantastic vote of confidence from the crowd that we were on the right track,” enthused RP Events Team General Manager Pam Manansala.

“Our hope, and one of the reasons that we came up with this event, is for the general party-going public to take more notice of our Filipino DJs. We made sure to not have one single headlining act from abroad to capitalize on local talent and let everyone know that you can have the same exhilarating experience with local spinmasters as you would with the top DJs in the world,” Manansala added.

Through this event, RP Events Team champions the local club scene by providing partygoers music courtesy of homegrown talents. The all-Filipino cast of the Boracay DJ Fest come from different backgrounds with different tastes and they play at different clubs all around Metro Manila and beyond. By gathering them and making them headliners, without an international act, the RP Events Team establishes these individuals as the go-to crew for a high-octane, high-energy, high-fidelity clubbing experience.
