Fun runs are a favorite fundraising activity by various groups and institutions these days. Aside from the health benefits the activity provides to its participants, each is given the opportunity to help their fellowmen in their own little way.

Joining the fun run bandwagon is Gluta-C, which has partnered with the Freemasons of Bagong Ilaw Lodge No. 6, to come up with Cavite Fun Run – a run for the cause of Porta Vaga Elementary School.

Porta Vaga Elementary School lies in the coastal town of Cavite City. Its students are mostly children of fishermen in the locale. For the current school year, it has a total of 441 students, 54 of which are indigents. Proceeds of Cavite Fun Run will help support the needs of these students to finish their schooling.

Supporting the event is Jodi Sta. Maria-Lacson, Gluta-C’s endorser, to help raise funds for the school and promote healthy living in the community.

Gluta-C’s Cavite Fun Run will be held on March 13 (Sunday at 5AM) in Cavite City. Registration for the 3k and 5k categories is at P400, with a special discount for groups of 3. This is inclusive of the race singlet and other freebies from Gluta-C.
