My Friendly POST IT this December
December 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangI notice December is the fastest month of the year because practically I squeeze all my schedules within three weeks before Christmas day. I welcome this yearly pandemonium because: time management, patience, organization skills are put to the test and to its breaking limit. And from the past years, I have learned to cope with this season by suspending expectations. I have listed reminders on my mirror before stepping out to brave this season.
1. I have three weeks to get things done before the 24th- it’s okay to RUSH!
2. My days are shorter and nights are longer - sleep will be compromised.
3. Expect puffy eyes and sniffles, so overdose with vitamin C and B complex.
4. Traffic is horrendous and parking is a challenge.
5. Expect sales people to move slower and I move faster.
6. When I am about to snap, I go ahead BUT I apologize immediately.
7. At some point I will say, “I have nothing to wear!!!”
8. Jose…
The Era of Reboot
November 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangOne word that I appreciate most in this present genre is the power of “Refresh”. It is the privilege provided by new technology, which allows us to update with ease. By just a single push of the refresh button (whether it be in our mobile phone, laptops or tablets), it completely empowers us to renew, upgrade and reinstall the latest application improvement. In some ways, this manner has shaped us to be more dynamic and be more apt to changes.
For our November Techie issue, I am excitedly pushing the refresh command and allow the reinvention to take its course. Circuit has added voltage by welcoming and collaborating with Rcxy Bautista, Toff de Venecia, MJ Cordova and Nyko Rodriguez. Having them to share their thoughts and experiences feel like we have added a new “application”. Thus, making the current vibe of Circuit renewed.
Since most of us have that ultimate craving for the latest gadget and chocolate, check out our Circuit Breaker Section that will satisfy your appetite whether…
October is packed!
October 4th, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangAn early surge of merry making in the air is felt as this month rolls in. There’ll be a lot of happenings and with that allow me to share with you things and events that are blocked in my calendar.
A self-confessed theater rat, I can’t wait to see Tinkerbell. The name always made me believe that fairies exist and magic dust will make me fly. The spectacular musical Peter Pan will surely bring out the child-like in me especially with all the flying on stage.
Hands down, wine always fascinates me. Choosing the right wine to pair with my meal is always a meticulous process. With that, I have already reserved my ticket to the Philippine Wine Fiesta and check out Backus’s latest concoction.
I have also marked a day and allow my mind to wonder, question and to be refreshed by a visual treat. For this month, I’m giving my full support to Filipino contemporary artists in a collaborative exhibit…
Starting Early In September
September 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangThe hoary old cliché about “the early bird catching the worm” is still timely. Getting ahead of everything and everyone has its distinct advantages, especially in the sensibility of fashion. This issue, we are starting to give you heads up that will give you commanding presence with your wardrobe picks. I suggest that after reading our Circuit Breaker where we did some trend spotting, it is time to fix your closet and give way for new purchases.
Flip to our Circadian page and excite your taste buds with Mexican and Japanese dishes. We dare you to rediscover these flavors and be satiated. Of course, The Grid is full of diverse events to fill your entertainment schedule this September.
Discover more about our stunning cover girl Miss Eula Valdez. This lady is the true epitome of success while keeping her two feet grounded. We’re truly grateful for giving us your time.

A Smash of Pop
August 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangOur issue speaks of mash-up topics bringing you a very pop-ish feel!
Starting with a fascinating discovery; cover girl Ms. Divine Lee epitomizes her namesake: divine. A fashion and gay icon to many, she really “walks her talk” and has consistently turned heads with her keen sense of fashion and unguarded humor.
Circuit Breaker is going to be a run down of a variety of wellness essentials as we go through a month believed to be, by both the Chinese and astrological calendar, the ghost month or retrograde.
Read through our Circadian section as a new renaissance of popular neighborhood bar unfolds. This is an up-front option for an equally wicked night sans the long cue and annoying door men/bitches. Add to your “Bar Raid” list this month the new places which we have enumerated.
Lastly, check our Grid for your daily events that will swift you this August.
Cheers!

Splash and Splurge
July 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangJuly always reminds me of the phrase “Save It For A Rainy Day.” I am excited because I can spend on what I saved for. What am I thinking? It’s time to take it easy and just enjoy the drizzle. I’ve gathered up some worthwhile must-haves or must-dos to make this season a splashing month.
Feeling dreary? Don’t be, there’s something to brighten up your days. Step up with trendy Tretorn shoes (remember the iconic tennis footwear from the 80’s). They came up with totally eye-catching fresh new designs and colors. Grab these comfortable footwear at their recently opened flagship store in Robinson’s Galleria to see for yourself.
In spite of the drizzling weather making us feel lazy, our skin still needs constant hydration. Don’t forget to apply Neutrogena latest Hydro Boost line that consists of 12-Hour Progressive Release System that reduces dull appearance. Light on skin, it makes it less oily.

Shout Out Rules!
June 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangThanks to online social networking, we can freely express ourselves through shoutouts. Whichever social site you choose (may it be Facebook or Twitter), whenever and wherever you may be (as long as there is Wifi / Inet connection), the only thing that comes to our mind is how socially relevant and enlightening our one liner statements on our profile page can be.
In line with this month’s celebration of our Independence Day, Circuit honors the freedom to express ourselves. Allow yourself to revel in your unique individual characters. Our cover conveys those shout out messages to remind everyone about the liberating values that ultimately define us.
Make way for our June cover girl Pauline Prieto, she’s definitely a gal to watch out! She brightens the room. I can’t stop giggling when we were chatting; her undeniable wit and spunky personality plus her grounded attitude endear her more to us. No wonder, this girl is a very much in-demand model in Manila. She really makes a weekend afternoon shoot a…
The May Cool Off
May 1st, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangThis heat keeps my thoughts at bay with where and how to achieve refreshing escapes in spite of the lack of holidays this month. But then again, there’s always the thought of having a summer quickie at some exciting hot locales just outside the metro’s proximity.
Speaking of which, we’re taking you to different places as we share our very own Travelogue stories in our Circadian section. Get to re-discover fun places from in and out of the Philippines to fully enjoy the hot season.
I am happy to have Phem as our May cover girl, she is one of the personalities that I always look forward to have fun with especially when painting the town Very Red. Her sense of humor, which I would always refer to as “Phem-sibility”, made our May Cover Shoot an awesome experience marked with some hilarious moments. Read through our Cover Charge as she reveals why she seldom goes out late and what keeps her on her toes.
To be honest,…
An Intense Summer
April 4th, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangThe month of April never ceases to excite urbanites like me. There’s so much to look forward to. School is out, Easter holiday is just around the corner, and company outings are all planned out. Well, we need to think ahead for us to maximize our summer breaks.
These past few days, the first thing I do every morning is to hunt for the best summer deals in airfare, accommodations and even car rentals. News headline takes a back seat for now, since my primary priority is to get hold of the exciting travel and holiday promos up for grabs.
The country’s island paradise capital is also bursting at the seams with the hottest parties and events. Have your fill of Boracay’s activities in this month’s issue. We have gathered a handful of events to keep you updated.
Likewise, we’re bringing you to an artsy destination here in the metro. Flip to our Circadian section and see for yourself. For our Circuit Breaker offering, we made our oozing list that will ignite your…
Early Summer Escape
March 6th, in Editor's Note by Apryl GalangThe first thing I asked about our team while we were preparing for our pre-summer issue is the upcoming vacation dates to take note of. Unfortunately, we only have limited days for our sun escapades this year. I admit there’s a longing for those holiday-economics that we all used to enjoy.
But there’s nothing to fret about now because we give ode to the hot season in this month’s issue. Our Circuit Breaker dishes out the highest degree of ‘must-haves’ that will surely shoot up the sizzling temperature. For our Cover Charge, we are featuring two of Penshoppe’s hotties plus exciting summer finds from Penshoppe featuring stylish ensembles for your travels this season. Check out the Grid Calendar and block off those dates for your sunny rendezvous, especially the finals of the Nokia Music Connection Search For The Next Music Sensation set on March 25 happening at Eastwood City, Libis.
Mercury has arrived and have a great summer!
