Click: Paintings by Marc Gaba
Marc Gaba’s latest show dubbed “Click: Paintings” is described by art critic Cid Reyes as “more emotionally composed and contained when viewed against a “retrospective” of Gaba’s works.” Reyes adds “While always intellectually engaging the viewer to ponder the riddle of Gaba’s enigmatic sphinx, the works can be relished for their purely optical suavity.”
In his Artist’s Statement, Gaba writes: “All my paintings are composed as poems. I have written poems as visual art; I make paintings as poems.”
On a series called “Pure Relations”, Cid Reyes comments that they “are Gaba’s exploration of how a shape demands a particular colour, and vice-versa. Not only do form and colour counterpoint each other’s dictate, they resolve what started as an internal conflict leading to each other’s obliteration, into a harmonious organic and geometric relationship.”

Last Chance to Catch a Ride to the Heart of Fabulous!
Like the recipe for that cake someone bafflingly left out in the rain in the song MacArthur Park, there are some things you’ll never have again. The chance to see Resorts World Manila’s production of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is another. Unlike fabulous hair, this show will not have extensions, so you better catch it now.
