I’d rather take a blow at least then I would know
But baby don’t you break my heart slow
I don’t wanna be guessing all the time.

I will break these chains that bind me, happiness will find me
leave the past behind me, today my life begins,
a whole new world is waiting It’s mine for the taking,
I know I can make it, today my life begins.
I just resigned from work. Today is my last day and these lines serves as an encouragement.

I made mistakes, I know I know
But here I am alive.
I love this line from Here I Am Alive by Yellowcard. It’s my way of telling myself that no matter what happens, I’m alive and I should feel great about it. It’s an upbeat song so it also lift up my mood everytime I listen to it. It never fails to make me smile.

“Smile. Look. Ain’t I by your side?
I love you. Can you hear my heart?
No matter what others say
Aren’t we together?
Smile. Look right into my eyes
I love you. This heart that loves you,
won’t ever change. Just lean on my shoulder.
Take a rest…”
just a small gesture that he’s there is enough…..

Affirmation by Savage Garden
“I believe in Karma what you give is what you get returned
I believe you can’t appreciate real love ’til you’ve been burned
I believe the grass is no more greener on the other side
I believe you don’t know what you’ve got until you say goodbye”
This is my ultimate comfort song because it gives me a more positive outlook in life especially when I am feeling down. It give me optimism that everything will be alright or thing will look brighter.

Treasure, that means what you are
Honey you’re my golden star
I know you can make my wish come true
If you let me treasure you
If you let me treasure you

“Go baby, go, go
We’re right behind you
Go baby, go, go
Oh, yeah, we’re looking at you
Go baby, go, go
Oh, yeah, we’re looking at you
Go baby, go baby
Oh, we’re right behind you”
—”Cherry Lips” by Garbage
I was praying to God a some weeks ago before I sleep seeking affirmation on a decision I’m going to make and asked for a sign that if God is in my side he will make me do it. Then suddenly felt I light and comforted. As I was about to close my eyes, I heard these lines (which I have not heard from years back) repeatedly singing in my head for so many times I lost count. I’m surprised and until now I felt good and happy that God answered my prayer through an unusual comfort song.

Good morning and good night
I wake up at twilight
It’s gonna be alright
We don’t even have to try
It’s always a good time
from “Good Time” by OWL City & Carly Rae Japsen
It reminds me that no matter how different and complicated ones life is, it always has a good side in it, no matter what is bothering you, there is always something there to learn from the experience to make you a better person.
