Enter Grab Taxi, an automated smartphone based booking and dispatch platform for the taxi industry in the Philippines. All you have to do is download the Grab Taxi app through Android’s Google Playstore and the iOs App Store. Key in from your point of pickup and your destination plus an estimate of your cab fee and you can see the number of cabs that are available within your area. Just wait for a few minutes till a driver picks up your booking. Take note, this app will provide the plate number and name of the driver once you press the “Book Now” button. Lastly, there’s a P70 booking fee added to the metered fare and flag down rate, so don’t be surprised if you pay a premium. It’s better to pay and be safe these days.
