Belgian brand Hedgren hosted its First Annual Style Fair on April 15th in Greenbelt 3, which was open to the public. In partnership with The Fashion Institute of the Philippines (FIP) and Creations by Lourds Ramos Salon, the affair started at 12 Noon with the aim to further educate guests on how to enhance all aspects of their personal styles. Five major stations were setup to provide comprehensive advice in all areas to those who participated: grooming, hair, make-up, styling (clothing and accessories) and personality development workshops lead by Abbygale Arenas-De Leon and Marina Benipayo.

Popular footwear brand, Sanuk, held its 3rd Annual Sand Castle Competition in Bonifacio High Street, Global City, Taguig, last April 16, 2011. The contest started at 12 Noon as teams comprised of students from different universities, work colleagues and young professionals battled under the sun for top honors.

Named after a Thai word meaning “happiness and balance,” Sanuk’s novelty sandals have changed the way people will forever perceive flip-flops. The heat was definitely on as the first ever Pepe Jeans Integrated Marketing Challenge (PJ-IMC) came to its final round last April 6 at Kyss Restaurant & Lounge Bar. It was a night of friendly competition and camaraderie as teams from the participating schools celebrated the success of their endeavours.

The night started with a mini fashion show together with a flash mob dance presenting Pepe Jeans Eyewear’s latest collection. Then armed with improved presentations, Team 20/20 (UP), Team Perspective (UP), Team Force (ADMU) and Team Mojos (UAP) sparked a fierce battle to the top as they shared their final marketing campaigns for Pepe Jeans Eyewear.

But only one team and one school can bring home the gold – in this case P75,000 and Pepe Jeans Eyewear. And it was the University of the Philippines’ Team 20/20 that bested the others with its well-rounded and very much out-of-the-box campaign.

The night ended with a youthful vibrancy as participants continued to party and enjoy performances from Ateneo’s Blue Repertory and UAP’s Squadra.
