A new year has begun and 2014 holds a lot of promise. So plan your upcoming escapade in advance. Still not sure how? We have a few suggestions!
Edsa Revolution Anniversary (Tuesday, February 25, 2014)
This is a holiday for all schools and a great chance to have a movie marathon of your favorite Disney films. It’s a great way to prepare for the highly-anticipated “Maleficent”, “National Treasure 3”, “Tomorrowland”, and “Into the Woods” coming in 2014. Plus, you can never watch too much Disney!
Holy Week Break (Thursday-Sunday, April 17-20, 2014)
Traveling at this time is not uncommon and people normally find themselves at the beach. It’s a great chance to plan a food trip in Baguio. Cool off during this summer vacay and head up to the mountains to harvest your own strawberries, ube, and get some “kulangot” a sweet desert that tastes a lot better than it sounds!
Labor Day (Thursday, May 1, 2014)
Spend Labor Day with your closest colleagues! Instead of just bonding over some coffee, why not hop on over to J.CO Donuts for the most addicting and pocket-friendly donuts in town? While you’re there, don’t forget to try their frozen yogurt and coffee! You can also treat your colleagues to donut flavors like Chocolate Caviar, Green Tease, or their best seller Al Capone!
Independence Day (Thursday, June 12, 2014)
Change it up this Independence Day and get on a kalesa and go to the spots in Manila that endured history and lived to tell the tale. Make sure you have your cameras with you and go with your friends for some epic photo ops at Intramuros. Sign up for a tour, or go your own way. Choose your adventure!
Ninoy Aquino Day (Thursday, August 21, 2014)
When was the last time you visited Enchanted Kingdom? You and your friends can never get too old for amusement parks. Do you have the guts to get on the EKstreme Drop Tower, Anchors Away, or the Space Shuttle? It’s a stress-free day out you shouldn’t miss!
National Heroes Day (Monday, August 25, 2014)
Say hello to another long weekend! Where will you be? Well, plan your trips as early as now to our neighbor’s turfs and book your tickets to Singapore, Jeju Island in South Korea, Thailand, Vitenam, Indonesia, or Hong Kong! Fun fact: None of these places require a visa! What are you waiting for?
The Birthday Holiday
A unique “holiday” of sorts because it’s only in the Philippines where you can find people taking days off on their birthdays. Well, you’re worth it! You deserve the world on your special day, but better yet, why not treat yourself to a Galaxy? Spend that birthday money on your very own Samsung Galaxy Note 3 where you can learn what it’s like to have the world at the palm of your hands!
Annual Vacation Leave
Well, make sure to spend that wisely and plan it ahead. Our suggestion is that you save room for the Malasimbo Music Festival from February 27 – March 3. Don’t let 2014 pass without attending at least one epic music festival!
What does your 2014 look like?
