Soon, They’ll Come!

Gear up for 2014 will be an explosive year for international musical acts and gigs. Indeed, our local stage has become a melting pot of different foreign artists who are all excited to show their musicality to their Pinoy fans. So start your planning early because we’re giving you a teaser of what to expect for this New Year.

First quarter proves to be promising for all rock and pop music fanatics. Surely, you’ll have a grand time starting this month with the coming of three best rock acts in one gig, so don’t forget to catch The 8123 Tour: The Maine, This Century and Nick Santino & The Northern Wind Live in Manila. Then, there are indie rock groups set to conquer the scene like Phoenix and Capital Cities gigs all happening for January. Also on the list is pop music princess Selena Gomez’s Stars Dance Tour set onstage this first month of 2014.

Last explosive event for the first month of the year is none other than the culmination event of the Hennessy Artistry Club Series dubbed as Hennessy Artistry Manila Halo happening on January 24.

Meanwhile, experience a first of its kind indoor rock festival featuring music legends like The National and Mogwai, as well as festival stars and stalwarts Youth and Warpaint. Enter FebFest 2014: Hostess Club Manila happening by February. Speaking of music fests, going out of town is definitely the deal breaker. Why not plan a weekend escapade with the gang come next month at Clark Pampanga for the 7107 International Music Festival 2014 (Dig this, Red Hot Chili Pepper is comin’ guys!) or at Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival at Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro.

If you can’t get enough of whole lot dancing, Blue Ball at Metrotent, Metrowalk Ortigas is happening also by February. It’s a dance party you have always imagined and will never forget. Enjoy music by international DJs Sinna-G and Spencer Reed and our very own Brian Cua with special performance by Victoria Mykels and Jaja.

Likewise, you won’t get disappointed as soon as the next few months usher in because there are other much anticipated musical concerts coming your way. Starting off with three-time visitor Avril Lavigne; Mayday Parade, Bruno Mars and lastly, we heard that Queen B (eyonce) on her Mrs. Carter Tour is coming once again to flaunt her bootylicious performance.

EDM aficionados need not fret because throng of newbies are expected to spin their magic on the turntables for their local fans for the next few months whether it be in posh clubs or big venue arenas. Talks are getting louder that Skrillex, deadmau5, Gummy and even Hardwell will be having each of their gigs soon. Oh, you shouldn’t also miss Daft Punk whose Manila gig are said to be in the works. Of course, you want to get lucky to see them live in person, hopefully without their helmets.

If you’re wishful thinking, there’s a big chance that big name EDM artists like Porter Robinson, Calvin Harris and even David Guetta can once again visit us and do their beats in live action.

And the list goes on. Did we miss out anybody? Of course, it’s still a huge suspense on who’s coming to town for a big show. But one thing’s for sure, better be ready for all of these performances.
